    Not really for parakeets

    We have one parakeet that isn't trained well, so we decided she needed a "flight" cage so she could get more exercise, since she is not let out of her starter cage very often (since we have to wait for her to get hungry enough to go back into her cage herself). We bought this cage because it was just big enough, but had a small enough footprint that we could still fit it in the room. This cage is a good deal because it is made out of the same cheap wire panels as other basic cages, but they are put together in a tasteful way, and look nice from across the room. Having a built-in stand with storage shelf was also a strong selling point. It was possible to put it together fairly easily, but some of the panels came a little warped, and the bottom panel above the clean-out tray doesn't lie completely flat. However, I would not recommend this as a parakeet cage. The food & water bowls and the perches are scaled for a bigger bird. Also the box had the words "parrot cage" emblazoned across it. We are still going to use it since it fits our particular purpose, I just hope we can find some appropriate smaller diameter perches (and feeders) that will fit the size and wire spacing.

    we have a love bird he loves it way more room than his old cage also have 3 cats and needed a stronger and secure cage so they could not push it over .....lol this has fit the bill so far was alittle disapointed that cage dose not secure to the stand wit some kind of clamps

    i had fun building it i had one minor problem one screw the hole was not aligned but used a smaller screw and just need better instruction overall i will buy this again very soon

        I "inherited" my parrot from my step-daughter. The cage she had him in was VERY small for him. When I was finally able to get Paco in the new cage (does not like to be handled), he wouldn't move off the top perch. After one day, he is loving his new cage and you can put your hand in the cage and he no longer lunges at you.

        very large and give multiple birds plenty of fly space. the instructions are not very good. it is only a diagram of the cage. Customer service was not helpful and neither was the maunfactuer. The cage is large enough to give my birds lots of space to fly.
